ABOUT
Janet Tough grew up in a book-filled house in Hope, a logging town in southern British Columbia. Surrounded by evergreens, mountains and the mighty Fraser River, Janet learned to appreciate the majesty of nature, which continues to fascinate her. The daughter of elementary school educators, Janet studied psychology at Simon Fraser University and then went onto to study finance. She has spent many years working in non-profit finance and administration, but her heart has always been in writing fiction. Janet is currently a student at SFU’s The Writer’s Studio. She’s lived in New Zealand and Canada, and aspires to get to travel to every single continent (so far she’s made it to Australia, Europe, and Africa.) When the mountains are calling, she can be found in Whistler, her happy place, but most of the time Janet lives in the metro-Vancouver area with her husband, Dustin, and son Nick. “OUR FALLEN SISTERS” IS HER FIRST NOVEL.
